Obamathon, obama stuff..spoke cards, posters, t shirts..

So I know it’s been pretty quiet here on the western front. I’ve been getting ready for a few upcoming events, including the Obamathon! Tomorrow in San Francisco, at the Verdi Club, I will be spraying Obama t shirts..only 5 bucks if you bring your own pre washed shirt! Plus I’ll have a few I’ve already sprayed..and some spokecards, posters and canvas bags! If you’re in the area, stop by and say hi! -elaine

Day-glo paints

Stencil1 just participated in the CHA, it was a rollercoaster! We got to debut our new SPRAYERS which everyone seemed to love using. We were new to a lot of visitors, glad they liked it! I met some fun gals, my new insta-friend Elaine and her sister Jeni were the best. I also met some lovely blogger gals who posted these kind words:

Table graffiti

We stencilled our canvas table cloth, fun!

Booth

Our Booth was “ka-noodles”! I couldn’t stop obsessing on the free teal hotel chairs we had to use, was DYING to stencil them!

Amy Sedaris took part in the BUST Craftacular and I was there to stick my fat head in this picture and get her book I Like You autographed. I told her about Stencil1 and she checked out the stencils and said she liked the Pine Branch. I pegged her for more of the retro stuff, who knew. Anyway, she looked hot and was being insane and funny. And her book is genius, quite the bang for your buck. Yay.

Martha Stwart and Cynthia Nixon meet Stencil1

Martha Stewart and Cynthia Nixon meet Stencil1

Ok, well maybe not Goth but when Stencil1 was featured on Martha Stewart, she painted the Jolly Roger stencil. Martha+Skulls=I was loving this odd Juxtaposition! Apparently, Martha LOVES Halloween as do I. So I sat in the audience as guest star Cynthia Nixon and Martha made some two-process Halloween shirts. I showed the producers a bleaching technique using Clorox Bleach Pens that I learned from Syrie at TreeHouse Brooklyn and they loved it. It was very inspiring and we are grateful for the appearance. Watch the 2 part how-to video! Stencil1 on Martha
