What are your New Year’s resolutions? Keep track your of resolutions in this journal! This DIY will motivate you to keep on top of your resolutions and give you a fresh start to the new year.
Things you will need: A plain journal, Stencil1 Small Repeat Pattern and Letters & Numbers stencils, paintbrushes, and Jacquard paint.
Step 1. Gather your materials. Place the stencil on top of the journal in your desired location. Here we’re using the String of Dots Pattern stencil. (Tip: Spray the back of the stencil with a low-tack spray adhesive to keep the stencil in place.)
Step 2. Using the paint of your choice, paint over the stencil using a dabbing motion. We are using Jacquard’s Lumiere paint in 552 Bright Gold.
Step 3. Carefully remove the stencil and let it dry for a few minutes. Make sure the paint is completely dry before moving on to the next step.
Step 4. Grab your next stencil. Here, we are using the 2″ Industrial Stencil Font to stencil “2016” across the journal. Place the number “2” in your desired location.
Step 5. Grab another color, contrasting from the background color. This will make your design really stick out! We are using Jacquard Lumiere’s paint in 567 Super Sparkle.
Step 6. Repeat for the rest of the numbers!
Step 7. Get motivated! Fill up your journal with lifestyle changes you want to improve on and achieve.
