Customize a montage of frames to suit your décor with Stencil1 art. Breathe new life into old frames by stenciling glitter on felt!
What’s Needed:
- Stencil1 Birds & Bees Stencil 4-pack
- Stencil1 Bird Silhouettes Stencil 6-pack
- Stencil1 Butterfly two-layer stencil
- Frames
- Felt
- Fabric Glue
- Glitter
- Wire
- Hammer
- Brads
- Scissors
- Pliers
- Stencil Paint Brush
- Tape
- Hot Glue Gun
Grab some empty frames and select your favorite stencils!
Cut pieces of felt to fit the frames and arrange your stencil positioning.
Tape the stencil in place and apply glue with a pouncing motion over the stencil design.
Sprinkle glitter over the glue. *PRO TIP: Apply pressure to the glitter with the container lid. Then use a coffee filter to pour the excess glitter back into the container.
Repeat this same process with all of your frames.
Peel the stencils off carefully.
Now you are ready to mount the glitter prints into the frames. Apply a dab of hot glue in the corners of the frames and position the felt so that the artwork is centered.
Then secure the sides with more hot glue, stretching it tight. (Ignore that old heart design from an old project!).
Trim the excess felt flush to the edge.
If your frame requires a wire, simply hammer two brads into the sides. Then use pliers to fashion a wire to hook around the brads.
